Did you have a chance to read the little blog on May 22, 2014, when I wrote about the 3 rocks in the boy’s ear and about Q-tips being the gateway drug? Well, after a week or so of some drops in the ear, Mom was able to “snake charm” the little rock away from the eardrum so that I could manipulate it out of the ear canal with my hook instrument. The patient didn’t budge and the rock came out in no time. He was saved from a trip to the operating room and general anesthesia. He did great! The picture at the left is the last of the 3 rocks.
Needless to say, the little guy was very happy. On Friday, May 30, 2014, I had my first (hopefully of many) radio interviews about my book. Jordana Green, their engaging, outgoing, energetic Host interviewed me and had listeners call in to tell their nasal and ear foreign body faux pas. Even Don Shelby, the Emmy, and 2-time Peabody award-winning WCCO TV news anchor called in with his multiple foreign body stories! I think it was a really great interview and Jordana Green was a fantastic Interviewer. Listen to the interview here:
